All the promises they failed to keep 
Are all the tears your soul shall weep
And the hidden lines in between to read 
Scream at you to take this giant leap 

As you felt compelled to take a last sip
Of the venom you needed to succeed
To plow death, an ever-growing seed
Then harvest mankind’s finest breed

Surrendered your whole being
Devoured by their never-ending greed
So rocky and steep the path you had to lead
It made your palms and knees to bleed

And the prisoner was never freed
For they claimed there was a heavy deed 
To be paid in blood indeed
As all the monster cared for, was to feed

And thy soul shall weep
As you gently put yourself to sleep
Aware of the grief that endlessly will creep
To rend you heart and life to rip
